M.M.M. – EIGHT- Senior Citizen Homes/ Retirement Living

senior-citizen-marketing

They Dental Marketer Tribe! We are on episode 8 of the Monday Morning Marketing Series. I really hope you are doing at least one of these tactics, I know some of you guys started off strong but then became “too busy”… well this type of marketing (Ground Marketing) requires consistency. Actually every single marketing tactic, whether it is Ground, Digital, Paper, Radio, whatever, requires consistency. So I know you guys can do it and be consistent! For those of you who are being consistent.. keep up the great work! You are getting amazing results (I know you are because you are sending me the results! )

In this episode we talk about how you can get inside the senior citizen homes and set up a seminar/ lunch & learn/ booth and talk to the residents about your dental practice and dental health concerns that the residents have! Trust me each resident has a concern! This tactic is so simple and yet extremely effective, I have never received a rejection or a “no” using this tactic. And if that weren’t enough I have a video on exactly how I do this tactic in the show notes below!

#76: Talking with the founder of GOBY, Improving Patient Experience, & Your Target Audience/ Customer with Benjamin Goldberg

goby-founder

We are at episode 76 of The Dental Marketer Podcast. In this episode I talk with the amazing Ben Goldberg from GOBY. GOBY is an amazing product, if you are familiar with the products like Ipsy, FIVE FOUR, and Dollar Shave Club, then you will be familiar and LOVE the product GOBY, especially if you are using an electric toothbrush (which lets face it…. almost everyone is using it now). We talk about how he had the idea to create GOBY and what caused him to create it, what was the pain point that he experience to say “hey, I’m tired of this… something or someone should create this… and that’s going to me!”

We also dive into Ben’s entrepreneurial journey and how it applies to you (especially if you are dental practice owner). One thing I loved that he pointed out is that he makes sure the Patient Experience is first and superb! That’s where great marketing comes in. Think about it, if your patients don’t even feel like they are having an experience in your dental practice then you are either doing NO marketing or your marketing is just that bad. You have to have an experience and it has to be unique and remarkable in order for the patient to be a fan.

Goby was founded by two friends who were frustrated by today’s oral care offerings. Like many people, Ben’s visits to the dentist were far from enjoyable, and he begrudgingly bought an overpriced electric toothbrush, searching for an upgrade.

Improvements were made, but new pain came with the egregious brush head replacement costs. Claire (known as Cavity Claire by her family as a kid) was also keen on improving her routine, but always felt priced out.

M.M.M. -SEVEN- Day Cares

day-care-marketing

Hey Dental Marketer Tribe! I hope everyone is off to a great week, as you can tell from this episode I am still recovering from being super sick for almost a whole week! I don’t remember the last time I was this sick for this long! Anywho, in this episode we discuss a tactic that I personally love to use and it is always my back-up or go to strategy when I need an influx of new patients fast! That is …. DAY CARE!

This is a great “Back 2 School” type of marketing strategy because you are not even targeting the schools, you are targeting the children and their families after they are out of school. Day cares are a great way to set up something. In this episode I discuss how we can set up something where you can not only just talk to the children but also possibly perform an physical exam and talk to the parents. Listen to the example/ case study I talk about and how you can do it as well. This is a great strategy that I would LOVE to see everyone apply!

#75: Unlock The PPO, Teams, Numbers, and all about dental insurance with Lisa Weber

unlock-the-ppo-insurance

Episode 75 is live and it is amazing! We discuss topics all about insurance! So many times when we are starting our first ever dental practice we my think “hey it’s best to accept every single the of PPO insurance… right?” But is it really? Sometimes, we discount our services WAY too soon with accepting all kinds of PPO insurances and don’t ever see the bigger picture. Remember PPO insurances are just another form of marketing, my wonderful guest explains it very well. It’s like saying “would you want to have a permanent coupon out there that people (possibly a large majority) can use whenever with no expiration date? Something to really think about huh!

My guest, Lisa Weber from Unlock The PPO, discusses ALL about these scenarios and situations and she explains something really important that every dentist should know…. which is their NUMBERS. Sometimes you know how much your mailers cost, digital marketing cost, you may even know how much your front office pens cost monthly, but many dentists have no clue about the fees and discounts that they are giving due to accepting certain PPO’s and so much more! So please tune in and listen closely as Lisa Weber drops some serious knowledge!

Lisa became a full partner with Unlock the PPO in early 2011 by creating and expanding the negotiations wing of the company. Lisa had a finance and insurance management history prior to her 13 years experience in the dental industry. Her clinical and dental management background gives her a comprehensive perspective when negotiating fee schedules. Lisa has a dogged determination to negotiate the best possible fee schedules for dentists who are adding a carrier or may be deciding whether to remain a participating provider with an existing carrier.  She has focused on creating relationships with mutual respect with insurance representatives and understanding the parameters they have to work within.  This understanding of a complicated system ultimately allows dentists to get the best ROI on their investment.  Lisa has also spent extensive time to create services that are invaluable to the start-up segment of dentistry to make the transition into practice ownership simplified when signing PPO contracts.  Lisa is the director of our Start Up Practice division as well as overseeing negotiations and oversees our Virginia office.

M.M.M. – SIX – Sushi Bars

sushi-bar-marketing

In this session of Monday Morning Marketing we talk about how we can attract new patients from restaurants, specifically, Sushi Bars. Think about it, if you like Sushi, then you know how much you spend on one night of ALL YOU CAN EAT sushi! So you know many of these waiters and cooks are paid fairly well. However, I targeted more waiter in this case study.

So we went to a Sushi Bar near us and decided to drop off goodies and attract the new patients from this sushi bar. Listen to see how it went (spoiler alert) it went great! Now I am continuing to do this because remember, building pipelines and a continuous flow of new patients is most important! The workers in sushi bars are tipped fairly well, so consider them cash patients, I have yet to find a sushi bar that offer their employees benefits, so assume everyone is a cash patient and go in with an enticing offer. I explain a lot more in the episode so take a listen and enjoy!
